Good morning to all reading this. My name is Logan Seelye. I am 32 years old, a husband and father to the best wife and daughter a guy could ask for. I am a huge Seattle Seahawks fan, I love playing video games and spending time with my family. Along with being a web designer, I am also an author and motivational speaker (more about that below). I am the new web admin for the SGS website. I have had the pleasure of working on this site, and it has been so cool to learn more about my family’s history.

You see, I am the grandson of the former SGS President, Daniel P. Seelye. I remember him telling me all about the SGS when I was younger, and I never really understood all that he did for it, but now seeing things up close has made it all come full circle. I spoke with my grandpa recently and told him about the project, and he thought it was so cool! My grandma, Ruth Seelye, was so important to me and I loved her very much. When she passed, it was a very difficult time, not only for our family but for me personally. Just a few weeks before her death, I suffered a life-changing injury while playing football. On July 2, 2003 during football camp going to my junior year of high school, I broke my neck and suffered a spinal cord injury, which has resulted in becoming paralyzed. To go through that and then have her pass just a weeks later was very challenging, but I was able to spend some one last day with her. We went out to a movie and had lunch the day before she passed, which was such a blessing.

Anyway, I could go on-and-on about things. But I just wanted to make a quick note and introduce myself to you all. I look forward to (hopefully) meeting some of you in future! Until then, take care.

– Logan
