I looked at the SGS Ancestor File and of course we have lots of Charles R., Charles R___, and just plain Charles to choose from so I looked for more information.

If you go to our website and look at Research Query 2009-B you will see that we have quite a bit on the family of Charles and Caroline Johnson Seely (http://www.seeley-society.net/qlist2k9-res.html). Although we have a marriage record for Charles and Caroline in Newtown, Fairfield, CT we haven’t been able to find Charles’ parents. However this query does add several of his descendants to the SGS Ancestral File. If this family seems familiar another branch was the subject of a query in the last newsletter (Query 1711-4).
