Zachary Everett Sealey

2003 – 2017

Zachary Everett Sealey, “Zac” born December 2, 2003, the loving son of Robert and Sarah Sealey of Satellite Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 28th.  Zac was beloved by all who were blessed to spend time with him.

Zac was a 7th grader at DeLaura Middle School.  He was a passionate athlete with a love for football, baseball, surfing and skate boarding. He was also a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.  He had a love for art and music as well.  Most of all, if you were to ask Zac, he would say “he just loved hanging out with his friends”.  His friends remarked that “his smile was indicative of his truly kind nature and loving attitude” and “he always spoke with a smile in his voice.” Classmates, teachers, coaches and teammates describe him as “just a special kid”.

Zac’s passing brings much sadness but also brings many of us together to honor our time with him. It reminds us of the valuable bonds we develop and the impact we have on one another. Zac had a deep, positive and lasting effect on all who knew him. It is of great comfort for Robert and Sarah that they knew just how fully committed to loving Zac they were and that this love was not taken for granted.  Zac knew he was loved unconditionally in all times and loved his parents without condition in return.  Zac said, “I love you”, with ease and was always up for giving or receiving hugs.  His parents have looked for the blessings, grace and mercy in this unfathomable tragedy. The outpouring of love, prayer and support from family, friends and community has been stunning.  It has been and continues to be absolutely invaluable in lifting up Robert and Sarah.

A celebration of Zac’s life will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903.  Welcoming and visitation begin at 11:00am, Mass in Zac’s honor at noon, and a reception to follow from 1:00 to 3:00pm in the church hall.  All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Zac’s name to Satellite Beach Police Athletic League (PAL) or the South Beach Seahawks Youth Football and Cheerleading Association. These youth programs impacted Zac’s life meaningfully.
