Winona “Winnie” Evelyn Cilley, 92 passed away on February 4, 2016 in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she had been residing the last seven years, after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25, 1923 in Portland, Maine, the Daughter of Katherine (Maxwell) and Bernard Samuel Cilley and attended Casco St. School. During her working life she worked at Forest City Chevrolet in the Body Shop sanding, buffing and painting cars from 1941 to 1987 when she retired. Winona enjoyed fishing, ice fishing and many outdoor activities as well as attending the movie theater with friends and family. She looked forward to her Saturday morning shopping sprees in downtown Portland as well as her hair salon appointments. She specially enjoyed the major holidays and made them most memorable for her entire family. She was member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Litchfield, NH. She is survived by her sister Isabel “Jane” Sampson, Brother -in-law Paul Sampson ,of Nashua, NH, brother Phil S. Cilley and his wife Isabelle (Gagne) Cilley of Westbrook, ME, Sister –in-law Camilla Cilley widow of Herbert Cilley and by many, many, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her mother and father Katherine (Maxwell) Cilley, Bernard S. Cilley, her sister Bertha Mae (Cilley) Lapan, brother-in-law Samuel Lapan, brother Bernard Eugene Cilley, sister in-law Pauline (Phinney) Cilley, brother Herbert Lee Cilley, sister Katherine Joan (Cilley) Winslow, brother in-law Charles Roscoe Winslow. There will be no services at this time and a graveside service will be scheduled in the spring at Varney Cemetery in Brunswick, ME.
