William Perry Seelye, 69, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017.

Perry was born May, 16, 1947 in Hearne, Texas. Born to William “Jack” and Mary (Bishop) Seelye. After living in various locations, his parents settled in Arlington in 1957. Perry attended South Davis Elementary, Ousley Jr. High, Arlington High School (class of 1965) and University of Texas at Arlington. He met the love of his life of 49 years, Phyllis (Mayfield) Seelye at First Baptist Church of Arlington in the youth group in 1964. Perry was a Vietnam Veteran 1967-1971 (Specialist 5). He retired from Texas Utilities (TXU) after 36 years, and then enjoyed his time fishing, wood working, knife collecting, and taking care of his family.

Survivors: Spouse, Phyllis K. (Mayfield) Seelye and two children Shawn and Chad; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Collin, Madelyn, Savannah, Cameron, Parker and Katelyn; sister, Mary Jack; brother, Craig; and some very special extended family members including Lauren, Katie and Josh, in addition to many great friends.
