William Henry Seeley
TOLEDO – William Henry Seeley, 96, of rural Toledo died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 17, 1985) in Cumberland Nursing Center, Greenup.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Barkley Funeral Home, Toledo. Burial will be in Toledo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
He was born Nov. 16, 1888, in Illinois, the son of John and Dora Deppen Seeley. He first married Mae Phelps in 1910. She died in 1912. He married Pearl Hetzer in 1915. She died in 1974.
Survivors include a son, William Max Seeley of Toledo; one daughter, Betty Jean Fletcher of Neoga; two brothers, Charles of Greenup and Cecil of Arthur; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
One daughter, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Seeley was a retired school teacher, a member of the Sumpter Township Library Board and Friends Grove Church. He was a former member of the Cumberland school district board and a Republican precinct committeeman.
