Survived by wife, Peggy Palmer Seeley; sons, Jason (Sally) Seeley, Nicholas Seeley; grandchildren, Gavin, Maeve, and Arlo Seeley; sisters, Bonnie (Clyde) Lewis, Sandy (Charles) Menz; mother of his children Debbra Seeley.

William Frank “Maddog” Seeley Jr.

1950 – 2020

Dansville- William F. “Maddog” Seeley Jr., age 69, passed away early Friday afternoon September 4, 2020, at Rochester General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born at Fort Dix, NJ the first son of the late William F. and Carolee (Boxwell) Seeley Sr. He was also predeceased by a brother Kenneth Seeley. On April 27, 1991 he was married to Margaret “Peggy” Palmer Seeley, who survives. Maddog was a US Army Vietnam Veteran serving from 1970-1971 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a fifty-year member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of The American Legion. In his free time, other than working, he enjoyed hunting upland birds and whitetail deer. He was formerly employed at Foster Wheeler Energy Corp, JP Bell in Rochester and retired from Local # 13 Plumbers and Steamfitters of Rochester. Maddog always had a smile on his face and he enjoyed making everyone smile and laugh to brighten their day. He is survived by his wife Peggy Palmer Seeley of Dansville, two sons, Jason (Sally) Seeley, Nicholas Seeley of Livonia, three grandchildren, Gavin, Maeve, and Arlo Seeley, two sisters Bonnie (Clyde) Lewis, Sandy (Charles) Menz, a sister in law Rachel Seeley, the mother of his children Debbra Seeley and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held privately. Interment with Full Military Honors will be on the family plot in Greenlawn Cemetery, Town of Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. A celebration of life will take place at the Dansville Fish and Game Club on Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Face masks and social distancing guidelines will be observed. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation or the Daniel Goho Post # 87 Memorial Wall which will include recognizing his brother Kenneth Seeley, who died while serving his country.
