AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Velma Roberta VanLieu Seeley, 93, died Sunday, December 6, 2015.
Mrs. Seeley was born in Portland, ME, lived in Branford, CT for over 50 years, and had resided in the Aiken area for the last three years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed spending time in Rangeley Lake, ME during the summer months, and was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. She loved animals, and was a wonderful caregiver to many.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Perry, North Branford, CT; a son, Steven (Cindy) Seeley, Aiken; grandchildren, Danielle Johnson, Michael Perry, Erica Seeley, Steven Seeley, Scott Seeley; great-grandchildren Dylan, Carson, Kylie, Chloe, Alivia and Allie Seeley, Sophia Johnson and Bella Connelly.
Mrs. Seeley was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Seeley, a granddaughter, Gretchen Perry, a brother, Lester VanLieu, and a son-in-law, Peter Perry.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday evening at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC
