TOPPENISH – Velma O. Seely, 76, of Toppenish died Friday in the Mt. Vista Nursing Home in Toppenish.

She was born Oct. 25, 1909, in Etna, Wash., to William (Ted) and Minnie Ogden.

She married Clarence B. Seely Nov. Nov. 15 1929 in Wenatchee.

In 1946, she and her family moved from Grandview to Toppenish.

She worked as credit manager for Central Memorial Hospital for 21 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Credit Women’s Association of the Yakima Valley and the Assembly of God Church of Toppenish.

She was an accomplished pianist.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence B. Seely of Toppenish; two sons, D. Paul of Lynnwood and Stanley O. Seely of Tacoma; two daughters, Mrs. James O. (Joanna) Kenrick of Pleasant Hills, Calif. and Mrs. James L. (Sharon) Wilson of Toppenish; a brother, Vernon Ogden of Port Orchard; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Heins of Seattle and Mrs. Paul H. Opal Tutmarc of Seattle; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be conducted from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday in the Valley Hills Mortuary in Zillah.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the Assembly of God Church in Toppenish.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation at University Hospital in Seattle.
