NEWPORT NEWS – Sandra Sealey, 60, unexpectedly died on Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was a loving and generous person. Sandra was born and raised in the Tidewater area and graduated from Old Dominion University. She moved to the west coast and traveled extensively for work. Later, she retired from the San Francisco State University as an Administrative Advisor in the School of Nursing. She returned to Virginia to live with her father. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Bruce Sealey, who she will be resting next to. She is survived by her son, Thomas (TJ) Kehoe; her father, Joseph Sealey, Sr.; her sister, Carolyn Kamleiter (Thomas Kamleiter); brother, Joseph Sealey, Jr. (Michelle Vanasse Sealey); and her cousin, Gail Sealey Stockman (Patrick Stockman), who she considered another sister. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6 at the funeral home, with the burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
