SERVICES HELD FOR ROY SEELYE

MANITO – Roy H. Seelye, 79, of Manito, died at his home at 8 a.m. on September 24, 1975.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Limback Funeral Home on September 26, 1975. Interment was in meadow Lawn Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Lester Wence of the United Methodist Church.

Serving as pallbearers were George DeCanter, William Heinhorst, Jim Perkin, Bruce Schimmelpfennig, Lacey Talbott, and Otto Hilst.

A retired laborer, Mr. Seelye, was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.I and was a member of Hill-Palmer Post 561 of the American Legion.

He was born Mar. 8, 1896, at Manito, a son of Johnathon and Fronia Underwood Seelye. He married Mildred Thomas at Havana Apr. 9, 1924. She survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Roy J. Seelye of Fort Belvoir, Va.; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; a brother, Arthur Seelye of Pekin; and a sister, Mrs. Henry Schimmelpfenning, also of Pekin. Three sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.
