Roy C. Cilley Served in Marine Corps and Air Force

Roy C. Cilley, 71, of Oak Hill Road died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Franklin Regional Hospital.

He was born in Concord on July 26, 1935, a son of Elwin C. and Eleanor (Dearborn) Cilley. He attended Concord schools.

He was a proud veteran, serving his country for more than 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, then the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired.

Following his career in the military, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, retiring in 1997.

He was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed square dancing and helping out his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Houston of Penacook and Dian Lehman of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother, Clifton G. Cilley, and his wife, Meg, of Tombstone, Ariz.; two sisters, Eleanor C. Graham and her husband, Tom, and L. Alice Green, both of Concord; five grandchildren, Mellissa, Daniel and Brittany Lehman, and Kirche and Jesse Houston; and one great-grandchild, Melanie Lehman.

Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 3 Church St. in Concord.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 58 Clinton St., Concord 03301.

The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of arrangements.
