Ronda Lee Seeley

June 14, 1962 – December 9, 2020

 

Ms. Ronda Lee Seeley, age 58, of Madison, Indiana formerly of St. Louis entered this life on June 14, 1962 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Ronald L. Seeley and Marjorie L. Behr Seeley Calvert. She was raised in Jefferson County and was a graduate of the Class of 1980 at Madison Consolidated High School. Ronda was inducted into the United States Army on May 20, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky. She rose to the rate of Private First Class serving in the Construction Equipment Repair Division. She was honorably discharged on October 30, 1981 at Fort Riley, Kansas receiving the Army Service Medal. Ronda settled in the St. Louis area in Missouri and worked diligently as a volunteer for charitable organizations. Ronda lived there from 1987-2015. She was a faithful member of the Rooftop Church in Afton, Missouri where she was baptized in 2011. Ronda dearly loved her dogs, Kaylee and Teddy they brought her great companionship and love. Her church work and volunteering, helping the homeless, baking gifts and sharing joy was instrumental in her daily life. She was known for her delicious cheesecakes and her big laugh and caring nature. She returned to Madison in 2015 and became a member of the Madison Assembly of God and later the River Valley Community Church where she was very involved in the ministries of the church. She most recently became a member of the New Heart Church of God in downtown Madison and was enjoying her work in that church. Ronda was a loving mom, devoted sister, daughter, aunt and friend.  Ronda died on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 12:15 a.m. in the arms of her daughter at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

A LOVING FAMILY

Ronda will be missed by her loving daughter, Carrie Anderson of Tallahassee, Florida;  her mother, Marjorie L. Behr Seeley Calvert (Maja) and her step dad, Mark Steven Calvert (Faja) of Madison, Indiana; her God daughter, Samantha Sue “Sammi” Keen and her children, Isaac and Landon; her brother, Jeff Seeley and his wife, Jessie of Salem, Indiana; her aunt, Judy Seeley Fitzsimmons of Florida; her step sister, Amanda Calvert of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; her special friend who was like her sister, Renate Hutchins (Mamma Nada) of Madison, Indiana; her nephews and her niece, Clinton, Amanda (Daniel), and Lucas (Courtney); her great nephew and great nieces, Summer, Amelia, Eloise, Cooper, and Charlotte June; and her cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald L. Seeley, died July 14, 1990, her grandparents, Frank W. Behr, died January 21, 1966 and Catherine Marie Risk Behr, died June 13, 2008; Roy W. Seeley, died 1995 and Cammie L. Seeley, died 2004, and her nephew, Lance Seeley, died May 14, 2007.

 

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Jim Wilson at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.

VISITATION

Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

 

MILITARY HONORS

A final salute will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana with military honors to follow at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.
