Robert Leander “Bob” Seeley Jr.

1949 – 2016

ROBERT “BOB” LEANDER SEELEY, JR. Robert “Bob” Leander Seeley, Jr., a self-proclaimed Judeo-Christian and seeker of knowledge, was a teacher who was fervent about law, history, political science, and most importantly, his family, peacefully passed away in his home on the morning of May 6, 2016 at the age of 66. Bob is survived by his wife, Teresita (nee Calzo); his children, Robert III (wife Jan’net), Avelina, and Samuel; his grandchildren Leilani, Robert IV, and Khloe; his sisters Sharon, Regina, and Linda. Bob was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on July 31, 1949, to Robert and Elizabeth (nee Moses). His family moved to Los Angeles in the 1950s where Bob attended and graduated from Banning High School and in 1968, proudly joined the United States Army. Upon his return from the Vietnam War, Bob fought for Veterans rights and parlayed his aptitude for activism, candor, and leadership into a term as Student Body President at CSU Dominguez Hills. Bob graduated CSUDH with a degree in Political Science. A swift and fanciful courtship led Bob to marry the love of his life, Terri. Bob worked in law enforcement but it was a push from Terri to get his teaching credentials that started his career as a teacher. Bob will be known for his integrity, wit, intelligence, humbleness, and as an entertaining and skillful conversationalist. Although he had accomplished a great deal in his life, he would often proclaim he was most proud of his strong marriage, children and grandchildren. A viewing will take place May 22nd at Evans Brown Mortuary in Sun City, CA. Visitors are invited to come between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Evans Brown Mortuary. Bob will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery with reception to follow. EVANS BROWN MORTUARY (951) 679-1114
