Robert G. Sealy, 66, of Spring Mills, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in Somerset.

He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Aiken, a small village near Bradford. He was the son of the late Arthur Sealy and Elizabeth Miketish.

He graduated from Bradford High School in 1956. He played football, basketball and ran track for the Owls.

In the fall of 1956, he entered what was then Lock Haven Teachers College. He played football for the Bald Eagles and was the team captain in 1960.

He taught at Jersey Shore Area High School from 1960 to 1970 and also coached track and wrestling.

In 1970, he took a job in the Penns Valley Area School District as a teacher and coach. He retired from teaching in 1995.

He was a successful coach in many sports, but his greatest achievement on the field was the first undefeated football team in 1982.

Even after his retirement, he stayed in close contact with the football program.

In recent years, he was still able to hunt and fish with family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and keeping abreast of current issues.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Martha, in June 2003.

He is survived by three daughters, Robin Ciarrocchi, of Front Royal, Va., Susan Glunt, of Bellefonte, and Karen Haas, of Spring Mills; a son, Robert M., of Howard; 11 grandchildren, Olivia and Victoria Sealy, of Howard, Katey, Alison, Denning and Alex, of Bellefonte, Rachel and Sarah Haas, of Spring Mills, and Daniel, Aaron and Brian Ciarrocchi, of Fort Royal, Va.

Also surviving is a brother, Edward, of Jamestown N.Y.

Donations may also be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced when completed.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall.
