DELAWARE: Richard N. Sealey, age 87 of Delaware, passed away Saturday evening, January 31, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on September 9, 1927 in Hyattsville to the late Glenn and Sylvia (Piatt) Sealey. He was a US Army Korean Conflict Veteran and a retired mechanic for Delaware Tractor Sales. He was a former Tri-Township Volunteer Fireman.

Richard loved to putter around the house, playing golf and camping. Richard treasured time spent with his family and loved taking day trips with friends.

He is survived by sons: Michael (Sandy) of Delaware, Rodney (Diane) of Marysville, Kevin (Kathy) of Prospect; grandchildren: Amy (Andy) Fry, Dean (Kali Schultz) Sealey, Bradley Sealey, Chad Sealey; great granddaughter: Isabella Fry; brother-in-law: Harold Shull of Florida; sisters-in-law: Jean Sealey of Delaware, Evelyn Shull of Lancaster, Clara Louise Shull of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews; special friend: Maxine Kise of Delaware.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife: Maribelle (Shull) Sealey on May 25, 1992; brother: Robert Sealey; half-sister: Ruth Gooding.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware where service will be held Thursday 1 p.m. with Steve Wood officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Honors by the Delaware County Veterans Assoc. in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
