Richard L. Seeley; age 75 of Elwell passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Schnepp Senior Care in St. Louis. Dick was born April 5, 1945 the son of Albert and Beatrice (Roberson) Seeley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and particularly enjoyed coaching young bowlers and helped coach the Alma Girls Bowling team. He served honorably for 4 years in the United States Air Force. Dick married Dianne Walker December 9, 1966 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. He retired from GM in 1997 and then worked as a meter reader for Tri County. Dick liked to joke around and enjoyed warm hugs. Dick is survived by his wife Dianne; 2 children Doug (Melissa) Seeley of Ithaca and Richelle (Kevin) Weaver of Elwell; 10 grandchildren Jessica (Cecil) Smith, Nicholas, William, Hunter, Jasmine, James, and Timothy Seeley, Becca Chase, Hannah (Cody) Post, and Hallie Weaver; great granddaughter Madelynn Smith; 4 siblings Robert (Mary) Seeley of St. Louis, Marjorie Rauschenberger of Harrison, Bonnie (Marvin) Loomis of Weidman, and Neal (Brenda) Seeley of Riverdale; special friends Vince and Sue Wieferich, Ray and Mary Hitsman, Dale and Bev Balcom, and all his friends at Fletcher’s Pond; and several nieces and nephews. Dick is preceded by both his parents, granddaughter Katlynn Seeley, brother Donald Seeley, and sisters Phyllis Balcom and Barb Homister. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, December 27 at 2 p.m. for family with Larry Austin officiating. There will be visitation from noon until time of service and the family will also have a celebration of life at a later date. The service will be livestreamed on the Berry Funeral Home Facebook page and will be available to view any time.
