Richard A Sealy Jr., passed away on September 3, 2008 in Stockton at the age of 58. Born in Oakland,

CA he has lived in Stockton for 55 years where he worked in law enforcement for 35 retiring from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Dept. as a Captain. Richard served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Richard was involved in many organizations including: Stockton Jaycees, San Joaquin Concert Ballet, Stockton Host Lions Club, US Navy League Stockton Counsel, United Way of San Joaquin, F.E.M.A. Emergency Food and Shelter Program, and Community Blind Center.

He is survived by his beloved wife Dennise Sealy of Stockton; Children: Lisa Sealy, Lori Gonzalez (Noe) and Stephanie Lang, all of Stockton; six grandchildren, 2 brothers: Michael Sealy Sr. of Sparks, NV and Kevin Foundation of Stockton, and a sister, Linda Rhonemus, of Bakersfield.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd. in Lodi. Visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way (near Beckman Rd.) in Lodi. Interment will follow services at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.

Donations in Richard’s name may be made to: Hospice of San Joaquin, The United way of San Joaquin, the Lions Club, or to the Blind Center.
