Peter Seeley passes at 70

Peter B. Seeley, 70, of 3726 Caen avenue, pioneer of 51 years in Regina district, died Wednesday in a Regina hospital.

Mr. Seeley was born in the Rob Roy district adjacent to Owen Sound, Ont., attended school at Owen Sound, and homesteaded in the Grand Coulee district west of Regina in 1903.

He married Isabelle Coyle in Regina in 1913, and they settled on the homestead, where the family lived for 10 years.  In 1923 Mr. Seeley joined the service staff of the Canada Life Insurance Co. in the city, and retired in 1946.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. E. Wirth, 2256 Elphinstone St.: Mrs. M. Thompson, Victoria, B.C.; three sons, Sgt. Bernard with the RCOC, Regina; Stewart, Windsor, Ont; Douglas, 2944 Robinson street; eight grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Gordon, 2277 Queen street.  He was predeceased by a son, Leroy, in 1936.
