Nioma M. Seelye, 80, of 560 Townview Rd., St. Marys, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 25, 1934 in DuBois, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary DeLullo Assalone.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Bennetts Valley schools. She was a retired employee of Windfall Products.

She enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Debby Blessel and her husband Jim of Clearfield, Mary Lou Hanson and her husband Mike of Millville, N.J., Susan Butterfuss and her husband John of Ridgway, Cindy Filer and her husband Dave of Weedville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rose Puncheon of State College, Betty Catalone and her husband Bob of St. Marys, and Minnie Leonard and her husband Paul of Weedville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Lena Dezanet, Ester Cheslock, Theresa Naugle, Kay Longhi and in infancy, Mary Assalone; and by three brothers, Mike, Charles and Thomas Assalone.

Family and friends of Nioma M. Seelye are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Force. There will be no visitation.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity .
