Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Virginia Sealy Williams were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, in Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating.
Mrs. Williams, 79, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Uni Health in Rock Hill.
Born in Omega, Ga. on Nov. 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William Jones and Alberta Graham Jones Fitzgerald. A graduate of Tift High School in Omega and Draughns Business College in Atlanta, Mrs. Williams was a retired secretary from Royal Insurance in Charlotte. She enjoyed the beach, dancing the Jitterbug and shopping at flea markets.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Culbertson of Chester; two sons, Michael Sealy of Waxhaw and Richard Sealy of Belmont; and five grandchildren, Eric Jones, Kelly Cain and Stephanie Taylor, all of Charlotte, Justin Sealy of Waxhaw and Ashley Sealy of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Williams.
Memorials may be made to United Hospice of the Piedmont, 118 York St., Chester.
Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, was in charge of arrangements.
