SEALEY, MARGARET ROBSON MARSHALL, wife of the late David Alfred Sealey, Jr., passed away in the very early hours of July 5, 2012 in Lexington, KY.

A native of East Orange, NJ, she lived in Cleveland, OH and then Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Louisville. Her most recent Louisville residence was Lake Vista Court. She moved to Wesley Village in Wilmore, KY, October 2010.

Peg, as she was known by her friends, was a retired registered nurse. She received her nurse’s training during World War II, graduating from Presbyterian Hospital of Newark, NJ in 1946 as a member of the United States Cadet Nursing Corps. She spent most of her life as a wife and mother, but returned to nursing in the 1970s. Her most recent position was in the newborn nursery of Audubon Regional Medical Center in Louisville.

She loved gardening and animals. A supporter of GRRAND, a Golden Retriever rescue organization, she fostered many Golden Retrievers and adopted several. She was a long-time member of Springdale Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing in their choir.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Sealey; her sons, David Alfred and William James Sealey; and her grandchildren, Karen Fei, William Corey, and Xiang Alfred Sealey.

Her memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Springdale Presbyterian Church, 7812 Brownsboro Road followed by above-ground burial next to her beloved husband at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Donations in her name to GRRAND, P.O. Box 6132, Louisville, KY 40206 will gladly be accepted in lieu of gifts or flowers.
