M. Augusta Seely

Death of Mrs. F.J. Seely

Mrs. Augusta Seely, aged 65 years, wife of F.J. Seely, Osceola, died July 2, 1927, at nine o’clock, following an illness of nearly three years.

Mrs. Seely was a noble Christian woman. She was a member of the Osceola Presbyterian church and took an active interest in the church and Sunday School as long as her health permitted. She was loved and respected most highly and her removal cast a shadow of gloom over the entire community where she had labored many years in unselfish devotion for her family and friends and for the uplifting and advancement of the town.

Besides her husband, who is owner of the Cowanesque Valley Bank at Osceola, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R.C. Albee, of Elmira, and Mrs. Hugh Strang, of Westfield; two grandchildren, Frances Seely Albee and Robert C. Albee, Jr., and one sister, Mrs. Joseph R. Oakden, of Lawrenceville.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon: burial in Fairview cemetery at Osceola.
