Louise Kent (Linkins) Bezdek Seely

Mrs. Louise Kent (Linkins) Bezdek Seely, born on February 13, 1913 in Washington, DC, passed away at age 105 on February 15, 2018 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Kent and William H. Linkins; by her brothers, William and Kent Linkins; and by her husbands, Hugo F. Bezdek II and rear admiral Harry W. Seely. Louise is survived by her sons, Hugo F. Bezdek III and James C. Bezdek; grandchildren, Rachel Shields, Diane Laird, Mark Bezdek, Eric Bezdek, Kristin Bezdek Runnels, and Tanya Bezdek Sheehan; and
by many great and great-great- grandchildren.

Louise moved to Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, Florida in 1992, and lived there until her death. She was very active in volunteer activities such as the library and the Beaches Baptist hospital, where she knitted caps and mittens for newborns continuously until her death. She was an avid family historian, and provided many details for the forthcoming Amazon book “History of Arundel on the Bay” about life on the Chesapeake Bay.
