OXFORD — Lorraine G. Calareso Seeley, 82, formerly of Watertown, passed into eternal rest Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, unexpectedly at Waterbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Richard G. Seeley Sr.

Mrs. Seeley was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Malden, Mass., the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (De Luca) Calareso Sr. She enjoyed a very long and joyous career as the owner of Lorraine’s Cakes & Catering in Oakville, and later relocated to West Main Street in Waterbury. She spent many years teaching cake decorating for the Adult Education of Watertown and decorating to St. Vincent DePaul’s.

Besides her husband, Richard, she leaves behind her daughter, Cathy Lin Lee of Oxford; a son, Robert; her brother, Joseph Calareso Jr. and his wife, Marie, of Reading, Mass.; and her sister, Catherine H. Nigro and her late husband, Al, of Stoneham, Mass. In addition she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She is predeceased by her son, Richard G. Seeley Jr., and her brothers Charles, John and Anthony Calareso.

All services for Mrs. Seeley will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville has been entrusted to assist the family with the arrangements.
