Linden E. Seeley Dies in Hospital

Linden E. Seeley, 55, East Coventry township, died in Valley Forge Military hospital yesterday morning.

Ill since December, he was a patient in Phoenixville hospital several weeks, before he was admitted to the military hospital three and a half months ago.  He was a veteran of the first World War.

He was born in Potter county, son of Herbert and Cora Seeley, but lived in the vicinity of Phoenixville and Spring City the past 23 years.

For 15 years he was employed as caretaker and farmer on the Foster farms, near Phoenixcille.  He was a member of Spring City Mennonite Brethren in Christ church.

Surviving are his wife, Chloe; nine children, Paul, Samuel, Richard, Audrey, Linden Jr., and Wayne, at home; Ruth wife of Richer Miller, Phoenixville RD; George, Chester, and Thelma, wife of Otis Cox, Malvern; also his father and six brothers and sisters: Oral, Ira, Theodore, Lewis, Hugh and Theron Seeley.

Funeral services will be held in a funeral home at 331 New street, Spring City, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with burial in Vincent Mennonite cemetery.

Military Honors Conferred Upon Lindon E. Seeley

Funeral of Lindon E. Seeley, East Coventry, was held in a funeral home at 331 New street, Spring City, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. Baul E. Baer, pastor of Spring City Mennonite Brethren in Christ church officiating.  Interment was made in Vincent Mennonite cemetery.  Bearers were Paul, Samuel, George and Richard Seeley, Richard Miller and Otis Cox.  Mr. Seeley was a veteran of World War I.  Military honors were conferred at the graveside by Phoenixville American Legion post, with a firing squad from Valley Forge Military hospital.
