Funeral to Be Held Monday Afternoon
Lewis Seeley, 70, 21 Coolidge Avenue, a veteran pensioned employe of the D.&H. Railroad, died yesterday morning in the Carbondale General Hospital. He was stricken with paralysis last Saturday.
Mr. Seeley was born in Canaan, but had resided in this city for 50 years. For 48 years he had been employed by the D.&H. Railroad as a member of the wrecking crew. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Besides his widow, formerly Nettie McGowty, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward Sharpe; a son, Ralph, this city; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Oakes and Mrs. Anna Wagner, Honesdale; five brothers, Aretus, Honado, Cal.; Virgil, Roxbury, N.Y.; Elmer, Arena, N.Y.; Egbert, Waymart, and Alvah, Forest City.
The funeral will be held from his late home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Dr. S. Turner officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery.
