Leuico Benjamin “L.B.” Sealy (1924 – 2017)
Mr. Leuico Benjamin “L.B.” Sealy, Jr., 93, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Westminster Long Term Care of Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Craig Marshall and Rev. Dr. Mickey Bolus officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
Born August 15, 1924 in Lockhart, SC, Mr. Sealy was a son of Leuico Benjamin Sealy, Sr. and Mary Sadie Estes Sealy. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Spartanburg Jr College and also attended Duke University. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Alabama. Mr. Sealy was retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company and later retired as owner and operator of Sealy and Associates in Rock Hill, SC. He was a member of Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was a member of the Rock Hill Lions Club and Lockhart Masonic Lodge #244.
He is survived by his wife of over seventy-one years, Annie Mae Good Sealy; three sons, David Michael Sealy (Wylie Ann) of Rock Hill, SC, Stephen Byard Sealy (Linna) of Charlotte, NC and Kenneth Madison Sealy (Patricia) of San Francisco, CA; one daughter, Alee Jarvis (Michael) of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Walter Sealy (Barbara) and Richard Sealy (Elaine) both of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Kathleen Clayton (Earl) of Chester, SC and Ethel Harris of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Melvin and Alvin Sealy and two sisters, Mary Evelyn “Cricket” Jones and Ruth Sealy.
