Mrs. Bessie M. Sawyer of Morristown, N. J., widow of Guy O. Sawyer, was instantly killed and Dr. Leigh H. Seely of Sidney and Walton died three hours after the automobile which he was driving left the road and hit a tree near the farm of Merton Finch on the Trout Creek-Sidney Center highway about six o’clock Sunday evening.
Leigh H. Seeley attended the Walton schools and after his graduation from high school matriculated in the Cornell College of Veterinary medicine, from which he graduated. Eighteen months ago he opened an office for the practice of his profession in Sidney. He was also a veterinarian for the state and federal governments. He was a young man who had many friends in the locality.
