Kristina Wolfe Seelye

1946—2018

On January 10, 2018, Kristina Evelyn Wolfe Seelye peacefully passed from this life while holding hands with her beloved husband, Doug. They had been married 49 years and were truly best friends and partners in adventure.

Grandma Tina, as she was known to the grandchildren whom she cherished, was adored by her two daughters and their spouses, Jill Rush (Don), Shontaine Brayton (Fred) and by her son Richard Seelye. She was deeply loved by her six grandchildren, Katrina Hockney, Alex Sotiras, Zach Seelye, and Kayla, Ashley and Matt Rush. She is also survived by her loving siblings Larry Wolfe (Linda); Michael Wolfe; Susie Merrill (Fred); Robin Lyon (Rob) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kristina Seelye (nee’ Wolfe) was born to Bill and Dorothy Wolfe in 1946 and lived at the Wolfe Ranch on Fourth Avenue in Napa as part of an old-school Napa Valley Family. Kristina and Doug were married in 1969. They moved to Vacaville in 1976 and thus began a journey that was filled with love, romance, adventure and, best of all, lazy lingering afternoon rides on Doug’s Harley.

Kristina was charismatic, sparkling and funny. She was never shy about speaking her mind and we loved her for it. Kristina was an excellent seamstress and always took the time to hand make each and every one of her children’s and then grandchildren’s Halloween costumes, as well as costumes for herself and Doug. Her talents always impressed everyone. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Kristina was also an impressive gardener and had the knack of the “green thumb” with bright, beautiful gardens as stunning as she was. Her laugh was infectious and her characteristic positive attitude gave great comfort as she moved to the next phase of her journey. Kristina absolutely adored the love of her life, Doug. She also was a very dedicated mother and grandmother; however, she really loved her cat Tigress whom she just treasured. We will miss her terribly but take great comfort in the memories of the beautiful life we got to share with her.

In honoring Tina, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Trilogy of Rio Vista Retirement Community, just off Highway 12, on Saturday, February 10th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Celebration of Tina’s Life will occur at the Delta Club House, 990 Summerset Drive.
