Kermit Seeley

Kermit Seeley went to be with his Lord Jesus on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born February 18, 1923 in Mallet Creek, Ohio.

Mr. Seeley was the former owner of Seeley’s Army & Navy Store in Oberlin. He served in the 1876th Engineer Aviation Battalion during World War II, seeing action in the New Guinea, Morotai and the Philippines.

Kermit loved wood working and made many beautiful pieces for his family and friends. Kermit was a charter member of Oberlin Calvary Church.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virginia; daughter, Judi Gerber (Raymond) of Reno, Nevada; son, Jeff Seeley (Janet) of Waterloo, Iowa; daughter, Luanne Landes (Harold) of LaGrange; four granddaughters; one grandson and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delwin and Hazel Seeley of Medina; brothers, Quinten and Robert Seeley and his sister, Josephine.

There will be no visitation. A private family memorial service was held in the home, with Pastor Brian Kenyon of Oberlin Calvary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve in memory of Kermit Seeley.
