Mrs. G.P. Seeley Dies in 73rd Year

Mrs. George P. Seeley, the former Katie B. Blyth, 307 Cambridge street, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edytha Beamish, in Deep River Wednesday following a long illness.  She was 72.

Born in Ottawa, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Blyth and Margaret Robertson.  She married the late George P. Seeley, in Ottawa, in 1909.

Mrs. Seeley was active in the Sunday School work of Bell Street United Church and was a past president of the Ladies’ Auxiliairy of the Brotherhool of Railway Trainmen.  She was a life member and past matron of Capital City Chapter 172 of the Order of the Eastern Star and Life member of the Women’s Missionary Society and the Women’s Auxiliary of Bell Street United Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Dorothy M. Seeley, of Ottawa, and Mrs. S. Leslie Beamish (Edytha) of Deep River; one brother, Ewart G. Blyth of Ottawa, and one sister, Mrs. S. Frank Wilkins (Jennie), of Oak Ridge, Ont., and two grandchildren.

The funeral Friday at 2 p.m. will be conducted by Rev. Ernest G. Barratt at the Radmore Stewart funeral home.  Burial will be in Pincreast cemetery.
