Judith Ann Seeley

Judith Ann Seeley, age 51, of Mattoon, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, at her home.

Memorial services celebrating her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First General Baptist Church with the Reverend Steven Gray officiating.  No visitation is planned.  The Schilling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Judith was born February 27, 1950 in Steator, the daughter of Kenneth E. and Elizabeth Ellen Carter Parmer. She married John R. Seeley on December 14, 1977.  He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kayela Gray and husband Roger and Jessica L. Seeley, all of Mattoon; her father and stepmother, Kenneth and June Parmer of Mattoon; one brother, Donald E. Parmer of Mattoon; two grandchildren, Robert L. Gray II and Mikala N. Gray, both of Mattoon; four stepgrandchildren, Tyler Gray and Savannah Gray, both of Mattoon, Billi Jo Gray of Newton and Gina Gray of Danville; and special friend, Patti Sullivan of Mattoon.

She was preceded in death by her mother and two sisters, Barbara and Brenda Parmer.

Mrs. Seeley was a licensed child care provider, cosmetologist and Avon dealer.  Judith graduated from Mattoon High School in 1968 and from Lake Land College in 1975 with an Associate degree in Cosmetology.  She was a member of the First General Baptist Church, Eagles Club, and Women of the Moose.  She was also active with the P.T.A., Youth Alliance Bowling Assoc., the local 4-H, and the Mattoon Junior Football League.

Memorial gifts may be made to the First General Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
