Joseph Seely

SUNNYSIDE, Carbon County – Joseph Seely, 59, died here Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. of a heart ailment.

Born at Castle Dale, September 2, 1883, a son of Justice Wellington Seely and Anna Elizabeth Reynolds Seely, he had worked here for the past few months, while making his residence at Greenriver, Utah.

He is survived by his widow, Florence A. Seely of Greenriver; four sons, J. Hawley Seely, Robert Lee Seely and Norman Richard Seely of Greenriver and Corporal William John Seely of the U.S. Army; two daughters, Miss Jane Seely of Greenriver and Mrs. Beulah Bohleen of Ferron; two brothers, Karl A. and Frank Seely of Castle Dale; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Hansen of Roosevelt, Mrs. Anna King of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Nora Lamph of Grantsville and Mrs. Stella Allen of Rupert, Idaho; six grandchildren and his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Seely of Castle Dale.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Greenriver L.D.S. ward chapel by G.I. Burneit, bishop. Burial will be in Castle Dale cemetery.
