Seeley’s Life is Ended

Death from Double Pneumonia Came Just Before Noon on Tuesday

Joseph J. Seeley, whose critical condition from double pneumonia was mentioned in these columns, died at eleven o’clock today at his parents’ home on Walnut street, this city.  He had been confined to his bed since Sunday, February 14, but had been ailing for several days before that date.

“Joe” had a great many friends among the young people of Marysville.  He was 27 years of age on the 24th of last December.  He was born in Liberty township, Delaware county, and moved to Marysville with his parents in 18_8.  For some time prior to his death he had been in the employ of Church Bros & Weld.

This is the first death that has occurred in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Seeley.  Besides his parents, “Joe” is survived by four sisters and one brother, as follows: Mrs. Marie Daily, of Concord township, Delaware county; Mrs. Fred Bauder, of Delaware; Mrs. H.J. McDargh, of Cincinnati; Mrs. George Grieble, of Cleveland; and Harvey Seeley, of Cincinnati.  All were present at the death of their brother except Mrs. Daily, who is in poor health.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at two o’clock, sun time, in the Methodist church, with burial at Oakdale.  Marysville lodge, I.O.O.F., of which the deceased was a member, will assist in the burial.
