JONAS SEELEY DIES AT DAUGHTER’S HOME
Was 73 years old and formerly employed at penitentiary.
Jonas Seeley, age 73 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry W. Aspelmier, 608 Nicholson street, yesterday afternoon at three o’clock.
Mrs. Seeley was an old resident of this city, being among those who first came here to reside. For a number of years he was employed at the state penitentiary as a bookkeeper.
On Wednesday of last week Mr. Seeley suffered a paralytic stroke from which owing to his advanced age, he was unable to survive.
Besides his wife, two sons, Harry of Rock Island and Robert of Grand Rapids, Mich., and a daughter, Mrs. H.W. Aspelmier are left to mourn his loss.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be at Plainfield. Rev. Herlman, of Plainfield, will officiate.
