John E. Sealey Jr., 64, died peacefully on June 13, 2012. John was born in Deland, FL on November 29, 1947, graduated from Ribault Senior High, class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-69 including one year in Vietnam, receiving a Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal and 2 Purple Hearts. He retired in July 2005 from NAVAIR Depot, Naval Air Station, Jax, after 30 years as a pipe fitter. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife, Bonnie, who adored him during their 23 years of marriage, a daughter, Vanesa Beattie (Tommy), two grandchildren, MacKenzie and Brandon, mother, Christine Rhodes (Venice, FL), brothers Robert Sealey (Atlanta, GA), Roy Jimerson (Venice, FL) and stepson, Wes Stevenson. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Sealey, and brother, William (Bill) Sealey. Bonnie’s family (John’s in-laws) loved and enjoyed having John as a family member and loving companion for Bonnie. Rest peacefully Pa-Pa John. There will be a private service for family members. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, # 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jax.,FL 32205.
