John Clinton Seeley
John Clinton Seeley, 55, of Rural Route 1, Learna, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital.
He had entered the hospital about one hour earlier. Death was apparently due to a heart attack.
Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Daly officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the Mitchell-Jerdan funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Seeley was born March 12, 1910 at Toledo, the son of John Henry and Eudora Cathers Seeley. He was married to Martha Ann Sullivan on Feb. 8, 1936, at Mattoon. She survives.
Mr. Seeley was a section foreman for the Norfolk and Western Railroad. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, St.Mary’s Confraternity, Knights of Columbus, Mattoon Moose Lodge and the Railways Maintenance of Ways Union.
Besides his widow, he leaves a son, Ronald M., Downers Grove; two brothers, William, Charleston, and Glenn, Lerna; four sisters, Mrs. May Marshall, Janesville; Mrs. Ralph Logan, Arcola; Mrs. Harold Highland, Champaign, and Mrs. Kenneth Phipps, Decatur; and three grandchildren. A son, John Joseph, and a brother and sister preceded him in death.

SEELEY, John Clinton: Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Church of Immaculate Conception, T. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Daly officiating. Interment Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday. Rosary 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
