Joan M. Seeley

Joan M. Seeley, 86, wife of the late John Thomas Seeley, of Valley Forge, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester. Born on July 30, 1930 in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Alice (Kennedy) Imeidopf.

Joan was a graduate of Scranton Technical School. She had been the bookkeeper and meticulous record keeper for the family business, J.T. Seeley Associates. During her younger years, Joan and Thomas loved to travel, ski, play tennis and time spent at their second home on Fiddle Lake in upstate Pennsylvania. She was extremely active with her friends and neighbors in Valley Forge. Joan loved to play bridge, was obsessed with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed time at their vacation home in Steamboat, Colorado during the summer and winter.

Mrs. Seeley is survived by daughter: Joyce S., wife of G. Robert Van Schooneveld, of Malvern; son: James T., husband of Terry D. Seeley of West Chester; six grandchildren: G. Robert III, Andrew T. and Bradley S. Van Schooneveld, Laurie A. Carrozzino, Jonathan T. and Ashley N. Seeley; eight great-grandchildren: Cooper, Ryan, Jameson, Olivia, Aurora, Beaux, Leah, and Sophie. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson: Robbie Van Schooneveld.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass at St. Isaac Jogues R.C. Church, 50 West Walker Road, Wayne, on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen A. Moerman. Interment will be held privately in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard. Friends will be received from 9:00 – 10:0 am at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell – Ennis – Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville.
