Joan Elizabeth Mallory Seeley, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 6:20 P.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Springwood Center Nursing Home in Sarasota, FL. Mrs. Seeley was born on March 11, 1931 in Mobile, AL.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip John Stearns (Karen) of Portland, ME and Mark E. Stearns (Connie) of Huntsville, AL and one daughter, Mallory Seeley Kirkland of Quitman, MS., 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous dear cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Seeley, daughter, Tonya Beth Stearns Wilson, parents, John Henry Mallory and Myrtle Fiddler Mallory, brothers, John P. Mallory, Grady S. Mallory, P. Mack Mallory and sisters, Lillian “Boots” Marshall, Myrtle Blackmon and Viola “Bodie” Avinger. Funeral services for Mrs. Seeley will be held on Thursday, July 26th at the Pine Crest Funeral Home at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, AL. There will be a Visitation at 12:00 noon and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. The burial will follow immediately at the Pine Crest Cemetery.
