Jesse R. Seeley

Jesse R. Seeley Sr., 74, retired Naval Weapons Station construction superintendent, died Saturday in Hampton General Hospital after a long illness.

He lived at 135 Lassiter Drive, Apt. 1, Hampton, and was retired in 1966 with more than 26 years of service.

He was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna M. Seeley; five sons, Ira E. Seeley of Richmond, Gilbert J. Seeley of Bena, Frank K. Seeley of Hampton, Jesse R. Seeley, Jr. and Donald G. Seeley of Newport News; two daughters, Mrs. P.F. Hagerty Sr. of Marlboro, Mass., and Mrs. H.L. Moffitt Jr. of Gloucester Point; a brother, Ernest Seeley of Scieutu, Mass., 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Taylor.  Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
