REDDING– Jerry, 67, passed away on January 9, 2008 surrounded by loving friends at Sierra Oaks Assisted Living after a short illness. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and his mother, Eleanor Burge. Jerry was born in Long Beach, California on April 20, 1940. He attended school in Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. He spent most of his life in Red Bluff where he first owned and operated a Mobil Station. He later went to work at Diamond International. Many years later, he went to work for Shasta County and retired as a custodian. He was married for over 20 years to Judy Cilley who passed away in 1988 from cancer.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Marilee Horst and her husband Eldon of Santa Barbara, CA. Three daughters, Traci Hale and her husband Shayne of Redding, Cindy Cilley of Sacramento, and Jennifer Cilley of Sacramento. Jerry is also survived by two grandchildren, Trevor and Taryn Hale of Redding and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
