Horace Russell Seeley
BUHL – Horace Russell (Pop) Seeley, 78, of Buhl, died Sunday, June 2, 1991, at the Twin Falls Care Center.
He was born Dec. 13, 1912, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Ezra and Elmeda Burlingham Seeley. He grew up and attended schools in Cedar Rapids and served in the military during World War II. He married Eileen Czech in Las Vegas, Nev., on Dec. 10, 1957. He lived in Lewiston, Calif., for seven years, and had lived in Buhl for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Buhl Moose Lodge No. 305 and the Buhl Nazarene Church.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Seeley of Buhl, one daughter, Shirley Collins of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Richard Seeley of Las Vegas; three stepchildren, Daniel Czech Sr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, Betty Jane Pietz of Lewiston, Calif., and Major Thomas Czech of Virginia Beach, Va.; one step brother, Francis Cooksy of Lewiston, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
The funeral will be at 11 .am. Thursday at White Mortuary in Twin Falls, with the Rev. Charles Sheridan officiating. Cremation will follow at White Crematory in Twin Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Mortuary. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
