Helen Elizabeth Sealey
Helen Elizabeth Sealey passed on July 7, 2013 in Sparks, NV. She was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She earned her teaching degree at the University of Houston. She went on to teach for 35 years at Mark Twain Elementary school in Alvin, Texas. When she retired she moved to Sparks, NV to join her sister and family. During her eight years of retirement she stayed active with her church, the Republican Women’s Club and the Reno Singles Club. She volunteered for Hot August nights. She continued to touch children’s lives as a substitute teacher and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Hamby and niece Kacie of Sparks; nephews, Jack Lee and Don Hamby of Riverside, CA; great nephews, Sean, Jared and Christopher Hamby. Helen’s life will be celebrated in Alvin, Texas with life- long friends including fellow teachers and students. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a contribution in Helen’s memory may do so with Alpha Delta Kappa Eta Chapter c/o Sue Lund at 5695 Wedekind Road Sparks, NV 89431.
