HARRY D. CILLEY TAKEN BY DEATH

Nottingham, Jan, 31 – Harry D. Cilley, 53, a descendant of one of the early settlers of this section and town clerk for the past 15 years, died at his home here early yesterday morning, following a week’s illness. He had been in poor health the past year.

He was a member of the Nottingham school board and an active worker in Patuccoway Grange, East Rockingham Pomona Grange and the State Grange and had served as master of the first two. He was captain of the fire department for six years, retiring in 1935, and was a blacksmith by occupation.

Mr. Cilley was born here in 1882, the son of Walter A. and Flora A. Cilley, both of whom survive him. In 1910 he married Luella Harvey of Nottingham, who survives him. There are no children.

He had been a partner in business with his father for a number of years and was well known in many sections of the county. During the four years he was master of Patuccoway Grange it advanced to the position of second highest grange in the state.

Funeral services will be held at the home on the Deerfield road Sunday afternoon.
