Harrison Lynne Seeley

Lynn Seeley, 68, died at a nursing home in Guthrie Center, Iowa on Thursday.  Funeral services were to be held in Guthrie on Saturday morning at 10.  Mr. Seeley was born October, 1903, in Ralls County, the son of Thomas E. and Ida Mae Seeley.  He was educated in the Swope School District.  He leaves his wife, three daughters and two sons, one brother, Hugh Seeley, of Vandalia, three sisters, Minnie Seeley, Wellsville, Mrs. Homer Rentfro, Farber and Mrs. Hugh Caldwell, Vandalia.  The late Glen Seeley of Farber was also a brother.

H.L. Seeley Dies; Rites in Iowa

FARBER – Funeral services for Harrison Lynne Seeley, 68, of Guthrie Center, Iowa, were held Saturday morning at the Guthrie Center Christian Church.  Burial was in Dalmanutha Cemetery near Casey, Iowa, where a sister Oma May Seeley was buried before the Seeley Family came to Missouri to reside.

Mr. Seeley died Thursday of pneumonia.  He had been in ill health since an accident suffered in June, 1970.

Mr. Seeley was born in Ralls County Oct. 15, 1903, a son of Thomas and Ida Seeley.  He was educated in Swope School near Wellsville.  Mr. Seeley lived north of Wellsville in Audrain County until he was 19 and moved to Gutherie Center where he has resided since.

He was married to Garnett Erb who survives.  Other survivors include a brother, Hugh Seeley, Vandalia, three sisters, Mrs. Alta Caldwell, Vandalia, Mrs. Homer (Hazel) Rentfro, Farber, and Miss Minnie Seeley, Wellsville; two sons, Ross Seeley, Gutherie Center, Ia., and Robert Seeley of Dexter, Ia.; three daughters, Mrs. Al (Norma) Wright, Hazelton, Idaho; Mrs. Delbert (Robert) Snyder, Yale, Iowa, and Mrs. Bob (Dolly) Hayes of Gutherie Center.  He leaves 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Those of the Seeley family from this area who attended funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Seeley, Mrs. Alta Caldwell, Mrs. J.W. Newland, Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Caldwell, Jimmie Rentfro and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rentfro, Candalia, Mrs. Homer Rentfro, Thomas Seeley, Ted Seeley, Farber, Miss Minnie Seeley, Joey Hahn, Wellsville, Gene Seeley, Perry, Lloyd Seeley, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Troesser, Laddonia, Ray Caldwell of Frankford, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Teacutter and children of Cario.
