Gregg Arthur Frederick Seeley

1968-2017

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gregg Arthur Frederick Seeley on June 12, 2017 after a lengthy illness at St. Vincent Long Term Critical Care Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario.

Gregg was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 9, 1968. He was the son of Janice Seeley (Frese) and the late Russell Seeley. Gregg leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Jennifer Cattani-Seeley and his sons Liam and Harrison. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Yvette Seeley Jones (Les) of Nasonworth; sister-in-law Karen Grant (Kirby) of Fredericton; nephews and nieces Matthew and Adam Grant, Michael and Victoria Jones; along with aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by mother-in-law Eileen Rochford.

Gregg graduated from Fredericton High School in 1987 and continued his education at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. During his time at Acadia, he was very involved with the Axemen Football program and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1992. Gregg spent time serving our country within the Royal Canadian Air Force and then worked for the R.C.M.P. gun registry program. He was a published author of “Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem”, a Reiki Master and a proud father who loved to play football in the backyard, fish in the Rusagonis River and read with his boys. He was known for his impersonations and his dry, quirky sense of humor. He loved life and his family and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Gregg’s body has been donated to the Ottawa University and a private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate and honor Gregg’s life.

In memory of Gregg, donations can be made to the Bruyere Foundation and will be used to support treatment, programming and vital research in the areas of rehabilitation, brain and memory health, care for the elderly, healthy aging and palliative care.
