Glenda Velvon Moore Sealy, age 81, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Glenda was born on January 10, 1936 in Bayside, Texas, to Esma Trinola Holder Moore and John D. Moore. Glenda grew up in Woodsboro, Texas and graduated from Woodsboro High school in 1954. While in high school Glenda was in band all four years, district band for three years and a school pianist for two years. She was also a member of FHA. Glenda attended Harding University in 1955 and 1956 studying home economics. She decided to come home and go to work. She worked at Stewart Title in Corpus Christi until she met her future husband, Frank Sealy. Glenda and Frank met at the Ayers Street Church of Christ. On September 28, 1957 they married and were members of the Ayers Church of Christ close to 50 years.

Glenda loved her family and her home. She was a homemaker, accomplished artist and musician, a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening. Once her daughter began attending school she worked as a secretary at Yeager Elementary for a number of years and later was the church secretary at Ayers Street Church of Christ. Glenda was a current member of the Weber Road Church of Christ.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Esma Trinola Holder Moore and John D. Moore; her husband of 59 years, Frank D. Sealy; son, Clifton Alan Sealy. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Sealy-Johnson (Arne); two grandchildren, Hannah Johnson and Reece Johnson; Sister, Karolyn Terrill (Henry); and two nieces, Katherine Boone and Rebecca Hios.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to help send a child to camp Bandina. Donations can be made to the Weber Road Church of Christ/Camp Bandina scholarship fund.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday May 19, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
