EARL LESTER (DICK) SEELY
Earl Lester (Dick) Seely, age 74, passed away March 13, 1994, after complications from a long illness.
He was born October 25, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Earl H. Seely, and Louie M. Miner Seely. He married his lifelong companion, Vaun Camp, December 21, 1940 in Salt Lake City.
He served in the CCC’s and later moved to Richland, Washington, where he has resided for over 50 years. He specialized in the repair and maintenance of automotive light equipment and worked for Hanford Operations for 42 years, retiring in 1984.
His knowledge of engines created a lifelong hobby of service by repairing friends and family automobiles. Before health problems limited him, he also liked to camp, hunt and fish. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. At the time of his death, he held the office of High Priest.
He is survived by his wife, Vaun, of Richland; two children, a daughter, Mrs. Shauna Pusey and husband, John, of Orem, Utah; and a son, Bill Seely and wife, Pat, of Yakima, Washington. He has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 1994, 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Jadwin Chapel, in Richland, Wash. Friends may call at the Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. or one hour prior at the church. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 19, 12 noon in Richfield, Utah. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the Arthritis Research Foundation.
