CILLEY, DOROTHEA O. (TAVERNER)

Dorothea O. (Taverner) Cilley, 76, of Old Farms Road, Simsbury, wife of the late Frank A. Cilley, died Tuesday, (July 15, 2003) at home. She was born January 3, 1927, in Plymouth, daughter of the late Percival W. and Ella (Coy) Taverner and had lived in East Hartland prior to moving to Simsbury 28 years ago. Dorothea was a graduate of the Morse Business School. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Simsbury for many years, a volunteer on many of the church committees, and had also managed the bookstore for Youth Challenge in Hartford. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Monroe and Lucy Cilley of Norwich; a sister-in-law, Josephine Cilley of Lebanon; a niece and a nephew, Margaret Novajasky and Donald R. Trzuskoski, Sr., both of Terryville; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Edith Trzuskoski and a brother-in-law, Donald Cilley. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2:15 p.m. at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, West Simsbury. Private burial will be in East Hartland Cemetery. Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Youth Challenge of Hartford, 15-17 May Street, Hartford, CT 06105, Attn: Paul Echtencamp or to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 124 Old Farms Road, West Simsbury, 06092.
